Meaning of Globe / ग्लोबची संकल्पना
A globe is a spherical representation of the Earth mounted on an axis. It shows continents, oceans, countries, latitudes, longitudes, and other geographical features.
ग्लोब म्हणजे अक्षावर बसवलेली पृथ्वीची गोलाकार प्रतिकृती. त्यावर खंड, महासागर, देश, अक्षांश, रेखांश व इतर भौगोलिक घटक दाखवलेले असतात.

1. Shape of the Earth / पृथ्वीचा आकार
The globe shows the Earth as a geoid (almost spherical) shape.
